Why we exist

Across Australia's aged care sector, the same story repeats: mandatory data is being gathered, but it remains siloed, inconsistent and disorganised.

At reporting time, senior staff and clinical leaders are consumed for weeks trying to reconcile data from messy spreadsheets, never-ending email chains and disconnected systems - a quarterly scramble that multiplies operational pressure.

Meanwhile, mandatory reporting continues to reveal issues long after they've become problems, trapping teams in reactive mode.

Where we came from

We knew the problem first-hand - and then we built the solution.

Before Loop IQ, our founding team — led by Andrew Watson - ran an IT and data services consultancy in the Regulated Care Sector, giving us a deep understanding of the complex challenges faced by care providers.

Here, we began to envision a world where aged care reporting didn't compromise leaders' time — it powered their decision-making, and not just at the end of the quarter. Loop IQ was founded to make this possible.

Our first product. The QI Program module is a compliance and reporting tool that centralises the mandatory QI Program submission process in one place. In minutes - not weeks - it pulls QI data from multiple sources, automatically pre-fills the submission questionnaire, and guides leaders to finalise and submit quarterly reports directly to the Department.

Monitors and tracks Care Minutes delivered per resident per day to ensure alignment with mandated requirements, support staffing, and drive continuous improvement in the quality, safety and person-centred outcomes of care.

Enables registered care providers to track and ensure adequate staffing arrangements to meet the Department's requirement of at least one Registered Nurse being onsite and on duty at all times at approved residential care homes.
