How Allity cut audit prep from three weeks to three days

Facing tightening NQIP reporting cycles across four sites, Allity needed one live view of quality data instead of five disconnected spreadsheets.

Allity is an accredited residential aged care provider founded in 2013, operating 44 homes across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. Real, public facts — now part of Bolton Clarke, shown here only to demonstrate how the provider-card component reads with real data.

Five spreadsheets, no shared view

Allity's quality team spent the better part of every audit cycle chasing numbers instead of acting on them. Pressure injury data lived in one system, falls in another, medication incidents in a shared drive nobody fully trusted.

“By the time a trend showed up in our monthly report, it was already a month old”

Ahead of updated NQIP reporting requirements, the executive team needed a single source of truth — one that frontline staff could update in seconds and that leadership could read at a glance.

One dashboard, every site

Allity rolled out LoopIQ's QI Program dashboard across all four sites over four months, starting with a single pilot facility to validate data mappings before a wider rollout.

Existing incident and care systems were connected into one live feed, replacing manual exports with continuous data flow. Every site adopted the same way of logging Care Minutes and RN 24/7 coverage, so numbers across facilities became directly comparable for the first time.

“We used to rely on five different spreadsheets, and none of them agreed with each other”

Rolling it out without disrupting care

The pilot site went live first, giving the team room to fix data mappings before the remaining three sites came online. Automatic alerts now flag any site tracking away from national QI targets, well before it shows up in a formal audit.

We used to find out about a trend when it was already a problem. Now we see it forming three weeks earlier, and that's three weeks we get back to actually do something about it

Faster audits, earlier warnings

The operational gains showed up almost immediately. Site managers and the executive team now read from the same live dashboard, rather than four separate spreadsheets, and audit prep dropped from a three-week scramble to a few days of review.

With LoopIQ, Allity was able to:

  • Cut audit prep by 85% — from roughly three weeks down to three days
  • Catch trends 3 weeks earlier — via automatic benchmark alerts
  • Unify 4 sites on one live dashboard instead of five spreadsheets

Allity is now extending the same live-data approach to its home care division, using the lessons from the residential rollout to shorten the timeline considerably.
